The directors and officers of PromoteGIS bring to the organization strong professional backgrounds in social sciences, information and communication technologies, and geographic information systems (GIS) related tools and techniques. They have worked at senior levels with a range of multi-national, non-profit organizations and donor agencies, including the United Nations, USAID, and World Bank. Many of them are originally from developing countries and have a first hand knowledge and understanding of under-developed communities in different parts of the world. They are also passionate about the potentials of GIS technologies to make positive and lasting change to the lives of ordinary people in our global village.
